| 설명 | 알레르기 병의 원인이 되는 항원. 실제로는 천식-건초열-두드러기 등 주로 아토피의 유발원인 항원을 가리킨다. 자연계에서 알레르기항원이 될 수 있는 물질은 꽃가루-집먼지(house dust, 특히 쓰레기 중에 포함되는 진드기류)-여러 가지 식품이나 약제 등 다양하다. 이전에는 이들에 대한 반응물질은 실체불명인 채로 레아긴(reagin)이라 불렀지만 현재는 면역글로불린의 IgE 항체로 밝혀져 있다. 알레르기항원은 아주 광범위하여 한 사람의 환자가 여러 종류의 항원에 감작될 수도 있다. |

After menopause or partial hysterectomy, progestin is administered at the same time to offset an increased risk of endometrial cancer. In some amenorrhoeas, oestrogen is given to restore menses; if the therapy is unsuccessful, this may indicate the presence of pathology, for instance, pituitary tumour. Benefits for postmenopausal women include a lowered risk of heart attack (oestrogen lowers LDL and raises HDL levels), and prevention of osteoporosis, since the rate of bone loss is directly linked to a drop in oestrogen levels (see perimenopause). Medical opinion about the hazard posed by such therapy remains divided.
