| 설명 | 콩팥 위에 있는 작은 삼각형의 기관인 부신의 겉질에서 분비되는 호르몬. 체내의 물과 전해질의 균형에 기여한다. 신장에 작용해서 물과 나트륨의 흡수를 촉진하고 칼륨을 분비하게 한다. 즉 이 호르몬의 작용에 의하여 체내의 물과 나트륨의 양은 증가하고 칼륨의 양은 감소한다. 콩팥에서 혈류와 혈압을 감지하는 세포인 치밀반점(macula densa)과 토리곁세포(JG Cell)에서 혈류와 혈압의 저하가 있을 경우에 레닌(renin)이라는 물질이 분비된다. 이 레닌이라는 물질은 혈중에 존재하는 안지오텐시노겐이라는 물질을 안지오텐신 I으로 변화시키고 이 물질은 안지오텐신 I 전환효소에 의해서 안지오텐신 II라는 물질로 된다. 이 물질은 강력하게 혈관을 수축시키고 이로 인해서 혈압이 올라가는 동시에 부신을 자극하여 알도스테론을 분비하게 한다. 이 레닌-안지오텐신-살도스테론의 체계는 몸속의 혈압이 떨어지거나 혈액의 양이 줄어드는 경우에 작용해서 혈압을 올리는 작용을 한다.  |
