| 설명 | 인간이나 동식물의 건강-생활에 피해를 주는 인위적 발생원으로 인해 대기가 오염된 상태. 인간사회의 생산-유통-소비의 각 과정에서 배출되는 대기오염물질에 의해 사람의 건강은 물론 동식물-토양-지형-기후-수리 등으로 얽힌 생태계의 안정성이 방해될 때를 대기가 오염되었다고 한다. 여기에서 대기오염물질이란 대기의 조성을 변화시켜 인간사회나 생태계에 영향을 미칠 정도로 존재하는 천연 또는 인공물질을 말하며, 고체-액체-기체 또는 이들의 혼합물이 포함된다. 단일한 물질만으로 된 대기 오염물질은 드물며, 일반적으로는 많은 종류와 크기로 된 복합물질이다. 크게 나누면, 특정한 발생원에서 직접 방출되는 일차 오염물질과, 두 종류 이상의 일차 오염물질에 의한 상호작용이나 광화학반응 등에 의해 생긴 이차 오염물질이다. 매연, 먼지, 일산화탄소 따위와 같은 물질이 공기와 섞이는 일이 대기오염의 예이며, 그뿐 아니라 이산화탄소의 증가로 인하여 지구의 온난화, 그리고 프레온 가스로 인한 오존층의 파괴 따위가 문제시되고 있다. |

| 설명 | 임신 중이나 분만 중의 태아의 상태를 알아보는 것을 태아감시라고 한다. 여기에는 여러 가지 방법이 있는데 크게 분만전 태아감시와 분만중 태아감시로 크게 나눈다. 1. 분만전 태아감시는 분만하기 이전의 태아의 상태를 검사하는 방법으로 다음과 같은 여러 가지 방법이 있다. 1)양수천자-주사기를 이용해서 산모의 배를 통해서 양수를 얻어서 분석하여 태아의 상태를 알아보는 방법. 임신 15주 이상에서 실시할 수가 있다. 2)탯줄천자-초음파검사를 실시하여 영상을 보면서 탯줄속에 바늘을 넣어서 그곳의 혈관을 찾아 혈액을 채취하여 검사하는 방법. 3)스트레스검사-태아도 자궁속에서 운동을 한다. 그리고 정상적으로 태아가 자궁속에서 운동을 할 경우에는 태아의 심장 박동이 빨라지게 된다. 태아의 운동과 태아의 심장박동을 동시에 감시하여 운동시에 태아의 심장박동이 빨라지는 가를 알아보는 것이다. 4)태아청각자극검사-30주 이상이 된 태아는 소리의 자극에 대해서 반응을 한다. 즉 소리를 들려주었을 경우에 태아가 반응을 해서 심장의 박동수가 증가를 한다. 5)수축스트레스검사-정상적인 태아는 자궁이 수축하면 이에 반응을 해서 심박수가 변화한다. 이것을 이용하여 태아의 상태를 검사하는 방법이다. 2. 분만중 태아감시 분만도중에 태아의 건강상태를 감시하는 것이다. 대체로 분만도중에 태아가 저산소증이나 여러 가지 충격을 받는 경우가 많으므로 분만도중의 태아감시는 중요한 의미를 가진다. 1)전자식태아감시-전기적 장치를 이용하여 태아의 상태를 알아보는 것으로 감시의 대상은 자궁의 수축과 태아의 심장박동수이다. 2)태아머리덮개 표본채취 혈액-분만도중에 태아의 두피의 혈관에서 혈액을 채취하여 검사를 통해서 태아의 상태를 아는 방법이다. 주로 검사를 행하는 종목은 혈액의 pH이다. |

| biological monitoring | This is the periodic examination of biological specimens for the purposes of monitoring their exposure to or the effects of potentially toxic chemicals to the environment. This is normally done by analysing the amounts of the toxic substances or their metabolites present in body tissues and fluids. | blood glucose monitoring | A way of testing how much glucose (sugar) is in the blood. A drop of blood, usually taken from the fingertip, is placed on the end of a specially coated strip, called a testing strip. The strip has a chemical on it that makes it change colour according to how much glucose is in the blood. A person can tell if the level of glucose is low, high, or normal in one of two ways. The first is by comparing the colour on the end of the strip to a colour chart that is printed on the side of the test strip container. The second is by inserting the strip into a small machine, called a meter, which reads the strip and shows the level of blood glucose in a digital window display.
