CancerWEB ¿µ¿µ ÀÇÇлçÀü À¯»ç °Ë»ö °á°ú : 15 ÆäÀÌÁö: 1
acrodermatitis Inflammation involving the skin of the extremities, especially the hands and feet. Several forms are known, some idiopathic and some hereditary.
(12 Dec 1998)
acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans A gradually progressive late skin manifestation of Lyme disease, appearing first on the feet, hands, elbows or knees, and comprised of indurated, erythematous plaques that become atrophic, giving a tissue-paper appearance of the involved sites. The disease is caused by Borrelia spirochetes, commonly transmitted by the Ixodes ricinus wood tick.
(05 Mar 2000)
acrodermatitis continua pustulosis palmaris et plantaris
acrodermatitis enteropathica An historic model for the therapy of genetic disease. In an era (the 1950s) when inherited disorders were usually seen as hopeless, this progressive hereditary (autosomal recessive) disease of children was found treatable. Acrodermatitis enteropathica is characterised by the simultaneous occurrence of skin inflammation (dermatitis) and diarrhoea. The skin on the cheeks, elbows and knees and tissue about the mouth and anus are inflammed. There is also balding of the scalp, eyebrows and lashes, delayed wound healing and recurrent bacterial and fungal infections due to immune deficiency. The key laboratory finding is an abnormally low blood zinc level reflecting impaired zinc uptake. Treatment with zinc by mouth is curative.
(12 Dec 1998)
acrodermatitis hiemalis Acrodermatitis occurring chiefly in winter.
(05 Mar 2000)
acrodermatitis vesiculosa tropica A form occurring in hot climates in which the skin of the extremities is glossy and shows numerous small vesicles.
(05 Mar 2000)
papular acrodermatitis of childhood <syndrome> A cutaneous manifestation of hepatitis B infection occurring in young children; an exanthem comprised of dusky papules on the legs, buttocks, and extensors of the arms; it lasts 2 to 8 weeks and is associated with adenopathy and malaise.
Synonym: papular acrodermatitis of childhood.
(05 Mar 2000)
Mansonella perstans The "persistent filaria," a species widely prevalent in tropical Africa and northern South America where it infects human peritoneal and other body cavities, but is non-or mildly pathogenic; characteristic subperiodic microfilariae occur in peripheral blood. It is transmitted in Africa by the biting midges Culicoides austeni and C. Grahami.
(05 Mar 2000)
hyperkeratosis lenticularis perstans Small keratotic papules on the dorsa of the feet and legs, and occasionally elsewhere, with pinpoint keratotic papules of the palms and soles; onset in the fourth and fifth decades; possibly an autosomal dominant trait.
Synonym: Flegel's disease.
(05 Mar 2000)
telangiectasia macularis eruptiva perstans A disseminated eruption of telangiectases associated with erythematous and edematous macules.
(05 Mar 2000)
erysipelas perstans faciei Chronic, dusky red eruption of erysipelas on the face.
(05 Mar 2000)
erythema dyschromicum perstans Variously sized gray or red, slightly elevated macular lesions that tend to coalesce on the trunk, extremities, and face, commonly in dark-skinned Latin Americans; of unknown cause.
Synonym: ashy dermatosis.
(05 Mar 2000)
erythema figuratum perstans A chronic recurring erythematous eruption consisting of small and large annular lesions, with a scant marginal scale, usually of unknown cause.
Synonym: erythema figuratum perstans.
(05 Mar 2000)
erythema perstans Probably a chronic form of erythema multiforme in which the relapses recur so persistently that the eruption is almost permanent.
(05 Mar 2000)
urticaria perstans A form of chronic urticaria in which the wheals persist unchanged for long periods; includes urticarial vasculitis.
