| 설명 | 만성적으로 계속 진행되어 피부가 두꺼워 지고 딱딱해지는 병으로, 소아와 어른에게서 모두 발생할 수 있고, 특징적으로 목과 등의 윗부분에서 시작되어 아래쪽과 앞쪽으로 퍼지는 병이다. 이것은 일종의 자가면역질환(자신의 세포를 이물질로 인지하여 면역반응을 일으키는 질환)으로 생각되며, 피부외에 또한 내부기관(예를 들어 콩팥, 허파, 식도 등)에도 역시 같은 반응이 일어난다. 치료는 특이한 것은 없고, 면역억제제의 치료와 물리치료 등을 통한 고식적치료에 그친다. |

| scleroderma, circumscribed | A chronic, localised hardening and thickening of the skin. Lesions may be categorised as morphea (guttate, profunda, pansclerotic) or linear (with or without melorheostosis or hemiatrophy). It is twice as common in women as in men.
