| 설명 | 기생충과 기생현상을 연구하는 학문. 특히 인간 및 인간과 관계가 깊은 생물에 기생하는 동물을 연구하는 동물학-의학-예방의학에 걸친 분야를 말한다. 또, 해충에 기생하는 곤충이나 그 이차 기생충에 관한 생리학적 연구도 이 분야에 포함된다. 기생현상의 성질, 기생충과 숙주와의 관계, 기생충의 분류-형태-분포-생활사-전염경로-퇴치 등이 연구대상이 된다. 기생충학에서는 주로 사람과 가축을 숙주로 취급하여 연구한다. |
