| 영문 | presentation of fetus(=lie of fetus) | 한글 | 태위 |
|---|---|---|---|

| fetus | <biology, embryology, obstetrics> A developing unborn offspring of an animal that gives birth to its young (as opposed to laying eggs). From approximately three months after conception the offspring take on a recognisable form (all parts in place, etc.). In human development, the period after the seventh or eighth week of pregnancy is the foetal period. (12 Nov 1997) |
| other-directed | Pertaining to a person readily influenced by the attitudes of others. (05 Mar 2000) |
| transferases (other substituted phosphate groups) | <enzyme> A class of enzymes that transfers substituted phosphate groups. Registry number: EC 2.7.8 (12 Dec 1998) |
| precancerous conditions | Pathological processes that tend eventually to become malignant. (12 Dec 1998) |
| saline conditions | Soils or waters that are high in salt content, that is, more than 0.5 parts per thousand (=0.05% salinity). Usually sodium chloride (NaCl) is the predominant salt, but some areas have high concentrations of sulphates, carbonates, and bicarbonates, as well. Habitats are commonly subdivided on the basis of total salt content. (09 Oct 1997) |
| social conditions | The state of society as it exists or in flux. While it usually refers to society as a whole in a specified geographical or political region, it is applicable also to restricted strata of a society. (12 Dec 1998) |
| thermonuclear conditions | <radiobiology> Achievement of an adequately confined plasma, having temperature and density sufficiently high to yield significant release of energy from fusion reactions. (09 Oct 1997) |
| site-specific DNA-methyltransferase (adenine-specific) | <enzyme> An enzyme responsible for producing a species-characteristic methylation pattern on adenine residues in a specific short base sequence in the host cell DNA. The enzyme catalyses the methylation of DNA adenine in the presence of s-adenosyl-l-methionine to form DNA containing 6-methylaminopurine and s-adenosyl-l-homocysteine. Registry number: EC 2.1.1.72 (12 Dec 1998) |
| site-specific DNA methyltransferase (cytosine-specific) | <enzyme> An enzyme responsible for producing a species-characteristic methylation pattern on cytosine residues in a specific short base sequence in the host cell's DNA. The enzyme catalyses the methylation of DNA cytosine in the presence of s-adenosyl-l-methionine to form s-adenosyl-l-homocysteine and DNA containing 5-methylcytosine. Registry number: EC 2.1.1.73 (12 Dec 1998) |
| ABO haemolytic disease of the newborn | Erythroblastosis foetalis due to maternal-foetal incompatibility with respect to an antigen of the ABO blood group; the foetus possesses A or B antigen which is lacking in the mother, and the mother produces immune antibody which causes haemolysis of foetal erythrocytes. (05 Mar 2000) |
