| 영문 | sarcoma | 한글 | 육종 |
|---|---|---|---|

| Kupffer | Karl W. Von, German anatomist, 1829-1902. See: Kupffer cells. (05 Mar 2000) |
|---|---|
| kupffer cells | Large star-shaped or pyramidal cells with a large oval nucleus and a small prominent nucleolus. These intensely phagocytic cells line the walls of the sinusoids of the liver and form a part of the reticuloendothelial system. (12 Dec 1998) |
| Kupffer, Karl Wilhelm von | <person> B. Munich, Nov. 14th, 1829. Was an Anatomist and Embryologist. Was Professor of Anatomy in Kiel (1867), in Konigsberg (1875) and in Munich (1880). D. Munich, 1902. Kupffer's Cells - "stellate cells" in the lining of blood channels in the liver. Lived: 1829-1902. (05 Dec 1998) |
| giant cell monstrocellular sarcoma of Zulch | A histologic form of glioblastoma with large, often multinucleated, bizarre, tumour cells. Synonym: giant cell monstrocellular sarcoma of Zulch. (05 Mar 2000) |
| giant cell sarcoma | <tumour> A malignant giant cell tumour of bone. (05 Mar 2000) |
| reticulum cell sarcoma | <tumour> Obsolete term for histiocytic lymphoma. (05 Mar 2000) |
| round cell sarcoma | <tumour> Old term for an undifferentiated malignant neoplasm, believed to be of mesenchymal origin, composed chiefly of closely packed round cells. (05 Mar 2000) |
| sarcoma cell | Cells of a malignant tumour derived from connective tissue. Often given a prefix denoting tissue of origin, for example osteosarcoma (from bone). (18 Nov 1997) |
| sarcoma, clear cell | A sarcoma of young, often female, adults of the lower extremities and acral regions, intimately bound to tendons as circumscribed but unencapsulated melanin-bearing tumours of neuroectodermal origin. An ultrastructural finding simulates flattened and curved barrel staves, corresponding to the internal structures of premelanosomes. There is a 45-60% mortality in clear cell sarcoma. (12 Dec 1998) |
| sarcoma, small cell | A sarcoma characterised by the presence of small cells, cells measuring 9-14 micrometers with a faint or indistinct rim of cytoplasm and an oval-to-elongated nucleus with relatively dense chromatin. (12 Dec 1998) |
| spindle cell sarcoma | <tumour> A malignant neoplasm, believed to be of mesenchymal origin, composed of elongated, spindle-shaped cells. Synonym: fascicular sarcoma. (05 Mar 2000) |
| alveolar soft part sarcoma | <tumour> A malignant tumour formed of a reticular stroma of connective tissue enclosing aggregates of large round or polygonal cells; occurs in subcutaneous and fibromuscular tissues. (05 Mar 2000) |
| ameloblastic sarcoma | <tumour> A rapidly growing, painful, destructive, radiolucent odontogenic tumour that usually arises through malignant change in the mesenchymal component of a pre-existing ameloblastic fibroma. Synonym: ameloblastic sarcoma. (05 Mar 2000) |
| angiolithic sarcoma | <tumour> A firm cellular neoplasm derived from fibrous tissue of the meninges, choroid plexus, and certain other structures associated with the brain, characterised by the formation of multiple, discrete, concentrically laminated, calcareous bodies (psammoma bodies); most of these neoplasms are histologically benign, but may lead to severe symptoms as a result of compressing the brain. Synonym: angiolithic sarcoma, sand tumour, Virchow's psammoma. (05 Mar 2000) |
| avian leukaemia-sarcoma complex | A term applied to a group of transmissible virus-induced diseases of chickens causing sarcoma, myeloblastosis, erythroblastosis, leukosis, osteopetrosis, and lymphomatosis. These agents are closely related viruses (avian leukosis-sarcoma virus) causing prolferation of immature erythroid, myeloid, or lymphoid cells, a division of the RNA tumour viruses (subfamily Oncovirinae) causing the avian leukosis-sarcoma complex of diseases; the viruses are subgrouped according to antigenic characteristics and growth in defined types of tissue culture cells. Synonym: avian erythroblastosis virus, avian leukosis-sarcoma virus, avian lymphomatosis virus, avian myeloblastosis virus, avian sarcoma virus, fowl erythroblastosis virus, fowl lymphomatosis virus, fowl myeloblastosis virus.
