| Hymenoxys |
a genus of herbs found in North America; some species contain the lactone hymenovin, which causes gastroenteritis and vomiting in cattle and sheep. Two common poisonous species are H. odora´ta, the bitterweed, and H. richardso´nii, the pingue or rubberweed.
