| 설명 | 난소에서 난자가 배출되지 못하는 현상. 난소의 미성숙이나 과성숙으로 일어날 수도 있으며, 임신과 수유중 난소의 가능 변화로 일어날 수도 있다. 또한 난소의 이상발육으로 인한 원발성 난소기능장애이거나, 스트레스나 질병에 의한 시상하부, 뇌하수체, 난소의 상호작용 장애의 결과일 수도 있다. 호르몬성 피임은 배란을 억제하여 임신을 막는다. 무배란은 다른 질환 치료시 처방된 투약의 부작용일 수도 있다. |

| 설명 | 건강한 부부가 일정기간(보통 2년간) 정상적인 결혼생활을 하고 있음에도 임신이 성립되지 않는 상태. 현재 10% 가량의 부부가 붙임상태에 있다고 하는데, 치료의 향상과 더불어 불임률은 저하되고 있다. 불임의 원인은 대별하여 남성측에 요인이 있는 남성불임과, 여성측에 요인이 있는 여성불임이 있다. 남성불임의 원인은 ① 성교장애(성기의 기형-발기부전 등), ② 정자 수송로의 장애, ③ 정자의 형성장애 등이 있다. 여성불임의 원인은 ① 여성 성기의 이상, ② 배란-월경의 장애, ③ 자궁관에 장애가 있어 수정불능인 것, ④ 수정란의 착상 장애, ⑤ 기타 성기의 종양-염증 또는 전신질환의 경우 등이 있다. |
