| 설명 | 기생아메바과의 원생동물. 아메바성 이질의 병원체로 몸의 길이는 20~30μm 이고 단세포 동물로 사람의 입을 통하여 감염된다. 큰창자 점막에서 번식하여 발병한다. 주로 사람에 기생하나 개-고양이-원숭이-돼지-쥐 등에서도 볼 수 있는 병원충이다. 1~2개의 헛다리을 내어 운동하며, 세균 외에 적혈구도 잡아먹는다. 몸길이 15~60μm이며, 한 개의 핵을 가진다. 투명한 피막을 만들어 5~20μm의 시스트가 되고, 대변과 함께 배설되어 감염원이 된다. 주로 큰창자 조직 속에 기생하여 궤양을 형성하며, 세균의 2차감염을 일으키거나 작은 창자-간 등을 침범하는 일도 있다. 열대지방에서는 이질현상을 일으키지 않고 열이 없이 만성이 되는 일이 많다. 세계 각지에 분포하며 특히 열대-아열대에 많다. |
