| 설명 | 병기는 종양의 파급정도 및 위험성을 일정한 기준에 의해 표시하는 방법으로서 임상적, 외과적, 병리학적인 방법에 의해 실시하여 평가한다. 병기의 구체적 목적은 치료의 계획을 세우는데 도움이 되고, 예후에 대한 지침을 제시하는 데 있다. 또한, 치료의 결과를 평가하는데 도움이 되어서, 치료후 서로 정보교환을 용이하게 하여 보다 나은 치료계획수립에 중요하다. 1)해부학적 병기(anatomic stage): 일반적으로 TMN분류를 사용한다. 질병의 침범 범위를 세 부분으로 표시함. T항목: 종양의 일차성 침범 범위를 표시하며 흔히 종양의 크기, 침범의 깊이, 표면 전파 등의 세 가지 형태에 기초를 둠. N항목: 종양의 이차성 또는 림프절 침범 범위를 표시하며 림프절의 크기, 경도, 숫자 등에 기초를 둠. M항목: 종양의 전이, 즉 혈관성 침범 범위를 표시하며 일반적으로 중요한 것은 전이의 정도가 아니라 전이의 유무임. 2) 조직학적 분류: 현미경적 소견에 의해 암세포의 악성 정도를 표시하며 특히 연조직육종의 예후에 중요함. 또 난소, 고환 종양 등은 병리조직학적 분류에 따라 치료방법이 다르며 호지킨병과 비호지킨림프종의 구분에도 중요함. |

| sarcoma, endometrial stromal | A highly malignant neoplasm of the endometrium, arising from the endometrial stroma. It represents one type of stromal tumour, the other being endolymphatic stromal myosis. They are differentiated on the basis of the number of mitoses per 10 high power fields: endometrial stromal sarcoma has 10 or more mitoses, endolymphatic stromal myosis fewer. | sex cord-stromal tumour | A malignant neoplasm of the ovary or testis. These tumours differentiate toward sex cords (in embryonic gonads) in the form of female (i.e., granulosa and theca) cells, male (i.e., sertoli and leydig) cells, or indifferent elements. In the ovary, sex cord-stromal tumours comprise 5% of all ovarian neoplasms.
