| 설명 | 의학, 치과학 또는 수의학의 대학졸업학위를 가지고 국가에서 의사면허를 취득하여 의업에 종사하는 자를 말하며, 의료법에 따르면 의료 및 보건지도를 관장함으로써 공중보건의 향상-증진에 기여하며 국민의 건강한 생활을 확보할 임무를 띠고 있다. 의사면허의 취득에는 국가시험에 합격하는 것이 필수조건이며 면허는 보건복지부의 의사명부에 등록됨으로써 이루어지고 면허가 교부된다. 의사의 명칭에는 독점규정이 있으며 의사의 의무로서 진료의 의무, 보건지도의 의무, 진료기록 기재-보존의 의무 등이 있다. |

| 설명 | 사회적으로 기대되는 각 역할에 따른 상호행위를 통해서 의사와 환자가 맺는 관계. 의사-환자관계는, ① 능동적-수동적관계, ② 지도-협력관계, ③ 상호참가관계의 세 가지로 유형화할 수 있다. 질병구조의 중심이 급성 질환에서 만성질환으로 이행하는 가운데 의사-환자관계도 ①에서 ③으로 바뀌는 것이 요구되고 있다. 그러나 일방적으로 일하는 의사와 지시에 따르기만 하는 수동적 환자와의 관계는 아직도 뿌리깊게 남아있다. 또 최근의 의료기계화는 의사와 환자가 기계를 매개로 해서 간접적으로 상호연관되는 새로운 관계까지도 낳고 있다. |

| gold sol test | An obsolete, non-specific test for altered proteins in spinal fluid. As originally used by Lange in 1912, the test was thought to be specific for neurosyphilis; however, this proved to be incorrect.
