| 설명 | 자궁이란 태아가 수태되어서 분만전까지 발육하고 성장하는 공간이다. 자궁속에 병변이 있어 임신이 계속될 수 없거나 아니면 다른 이유로 임신되어 있는 태아를 제거하고자 할 경우에 사용되는 방법이다. 여기서 긁어내기 위하여는 우선 자궁의 입구에 해당하는 자궁목을 확장시켜야 한다. 여기에는 급속히 확장을 시도하는 법과 서서히 확장을 시도하는 2가지 방법이 있다. 자궁목을 급속히 확장할 때는 헤가르 목관확장기(Hegar's dilatator)를 사용한다. 이것은 작은 금속막대로 작은 크기부터 큰 크기까지 다양한 크기가 있어서 우선 작은 막대로 시작하여 점점 큰 크기의 막대를 자궁목에 넣어서 자궁목을 확장시킨다. 서서히 확장시킬 때는 Laminaria tent를 목관에 삽입하는 방법을 사용한다. Laminaria tent란 해초로 만든 작은 막대로 수분을 흡수하면 점점 늘어나는 성질이 있다. 이것을 자궁의 목에 넣으면 이것이 수분을 흡수하여 늘어나므로 천천히 자궁의 목이 늘어난다. 자궁목이 충분히 늘어나면 그 속으로 끝이 숟가락처럼 생긴 기구를 넣어서 자궁속의 병변이나 임신된 태아를 긁어내는데 여기에 사용되는 숟가락처럼 생긴 기구를 큐렛이라고 한다. 초기 임신중절 즉 유산과 같은 임신과 관련된 경우뿐만 아니라, 비임신 자궁의 자궁내막조직의 채취 및 제거를 위해서도 행해지는 수기이다. 이는 원칙적으로 마취하에 실시되는 것으로 자궁목관을 확장하고 기구로 자궁 내용물을 제거하고 큐렛으로 자궁내벽을 깨끗이 한다. 자궁천공이나 자궁목의 파열 등의 위험이 따르며, 수술후 감염 또는 출혈 등에 대한 주의가 필요하다. |

| 설명 | 넙다리뼈를 이루는 뼈. 길이 30~33cm의 관 모양의 뼈이며, 인체골격 중에서 넙다리뼈 다음으로 크다. 넙다리뼈로서의 역할은 주로 정강뼈가 하고, 종아리뼈는 종속적이다. 정강뼈는 체표에서 모두 만져진다. 상단은 굵고 좌우로 퍼져 있으며, 약간 오목한 상관절면은 넙다리뼈의 하단면과 함께 무릎관절을 구성한다. 상단 바깥쪽에 비골의 머리부분과 접하는 종아리뼈관절면이 있다. 중간부분의 정강뼈몸통은 정강이에 해당하는 곳으로, 삼각기둥 모양이며, 세 개 모서리와 세 개 면이 있다. 앞모서리가 가장 날카로우며 손으로 만질 수 있고, 이곳을 얻어맞으면 매우 아프다. 앞모서리 위쪽 끝에 정강뼈거친면이 있는데, 이는 무릎인대의 부착부로, 무릎반사에서 두드리는 자리이다.  |

| 설명 | 무릎 아래 마디의 바깥쪽에 있는 뼈, 정강뼈와 병행하고 있는 아래다리뼈의 하나. 넙다리의 바깥쪽에 있으며 정강뼈보다 훨씬 가늘다. 정강뼈보다 얇아서 체중을 지지하지는 않지만 발목관절을 강화하는데 도움을 준다. 길이는 30~33cm로 먼쪽뼈끝의 바깥쪽 부위는 복사뼈이다. 이론적으로는 위팔뼈의 자뼈에 해당하는 것이지만 종아리뼈는 때로는 거의 퇴화한 경우도 있다. 양서류나 파충류 경우에는 정강뼈와 같은 기능을 가져 그 작용을 분담하지만 조류나 포유류 경우에는 퇴화된 것이 많다. |

| 설명 | 임부가 매독에 감염되어 있으면 임신 후기에 매독균이 태반을 통해 혈행성으로 태아에 감염(수직감염)된 것을 말하다. 대부분은 유산, 사산이 되지만 출생하면 제2기 이후의 발진을 보인다. 발현시기에 따라서 ① 태아매독, ② 유아매독, ③ 만발성 선천매독으로 분류된다. ①에서는 뼈연골염, 간-지라 비대와 매독성 천포창, ②에서는 파로가성마비와 매독성 코염, ③에서는 허친슨 세징후(허친슨 치아, 속귀성 난청, 실질성 각막염)에 따라 특징이 있다. 기타 수두증, 지능발육 불량 등을 자주 볼 수 있다. 매독 혈청반응은 대부분의 경우 양성으로 나온다. 매우 드물게 간세포내에서 매독균을 무수히 볼 수 있다. 간세포 주변의 섬유화와 함께 불규칙한 흉터(hepar lobatum)를 만들 수 있다. |
