| 설명 | 나균에 의하여 감염되는 만성 전염성 난치병. 피부에 살점이 불거져 나오거나 반점 같은 것이 생기고 그 부분의 지각이 마비되며 눈썹이 빠지고 손발이나 얼굴이 변형되며 눈이 잘 보이지 않게 된다. 나병은 호산성 막대균인 나균에 의한 만성 전염병으로, 주로 피부와 말초신경을 침범하는 병이다. 대부분이 인도에서 발견되지만 우리나라에도 있는 병이다. 병형 분류로서, 나병종형, 결핵나병, 경계나병 그리고 부정나병이 있다. 감염은 고름, 콧물, 침에 직접 접한 경우에 나타난다. 증상은 나병종형은 결절, 침윤, 홍반, 탈모이고 결핵나병형은 경계가 명확한 홍반, 신경증상으로서 지각이상, 신경비후, 땀남장애, 팔다리의 변형이 일어난다. 입안영역에서는 혀, 입술, 잇몰에 결절성 홍반을 약 20% 볼 수 있다. |

| tuberculoid leprosy | A benign, stable, and resistant form of the disease in which the lepromin reaction is strongly positive and in which the lesions are erythematous, insensitive, infiltrated plaques with clear-cut edges. Synonym: nodular leprosy, smooth leprosy. (05 Mar 2000) |
