| 설명 | 수면제의 일종. 과잉 복용시 호흡을 억제시켜 생명에 지장을 가져온다. 장기간 복용시 내성이 증가하기도 함. 수면제외에 전신마취시에, 호흡마취 이전에 빠른 마취유도와 환자의 마취에 따른 고통을 감소하기 위한 정맥마취제로 이용한다. 또한, 이 약은 독성작용빈도가 적고, 값이 싸므로 장기간의 치료를 필요로 하는 간질치료제로도 널리 이용된다. |
