| 설명 | 물체의 온도를 측정하는 기구. 원리는 온도에 의해서 크기가 변하는 물리학적 성질을 가진 물질(예를 들면 수은)을 써서, 어떤 결정된 눈금으로 온도의 계수치를 읽는 것이다. 온도에 따라서 액체의 팽창-수축을 이용한 것 외에 공업방면에서는 측정원리가 다른 여러 온도계가 사용된다. 많은 종류가 있는데 어느 것이나 물체의 물리적 상태가 온도의 변화에 따라 연속적으로 변하는 것을 이용한다. 역학적, 전기적, 복사, 특수온도계가 있다. |

| case-control study | <epidemiology> A study in which the risk factors of people with a disease are compared with those without a disease.
