dicyclomine <chemical> A muscarinic antagonist used as an antispasmodic and in urinary incontinence. It has little effect on glandular secretion or the cardiovascular system. It does have some local anaesthetic properties and is used in gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary tract spasms.
Pharmacological action: muscarinic antagonists, parasympatholytics.
Chemical name: (1,1'-Bicyclohexyl)-1-carboxylic acid, 2-(diethylamino)ethyl ester

dicynodont <paleontology> One of a group of extinct reptiles having the jaws armed with a horny beak, as in turtles, and in the genus Dicynodon, supporting also a pair of powerful tusks. Their remains are found in triassic strata of South Africa and India.
