| Achromobacter |
a genus of gram-negative, nonfermentative, peritrichously flagellated, rod-shaped bacteria of uncertain affiliation, found in water and the human intestinal tract. They have been isolated from various clinical sources, sometimes associated with significant infections. Organisms of this genus are sometimes classified in the genus Alcaligenes.
