| lewy bodies | Intracytoplasmic, eosinophilic, round to elongated inclusions found in vacuoles of injured or fragmented neurons. The presence of lewy bodies is the histological marker of the degenerative changes in parkinson disease but they may be seen in other neurological conditions.
