Tc Device which is mounted between lens and camera, increasing the magnification of the image by 1.4x or 2x, etc. It also reduces the maximum aperture of the lens by a corresponding amount (eg. a 50mm f1.4 lens plus a 2x TC becomes an 100mm f2.8 lens). Teleconverters are not usually recommended for use with a zoom, unless it is a specially matched TC designed just for that lens.
