PCTAIRE-2 protein kinase <enzyme> Member of a subfamily of cdc-2-related kinases preferentially expressed in post-mitotic cells; amino acid sequence has been determined
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-
(26 Jun 1999)
glucose-1-phosphate kinase <enzyme> An enzyme that, in the presence of ATP, catalyses the phosphorylation of d-glucose 1-phosphate to form d-glucose 1,6-bisphosphate and ADP; found in yeast and muscle; d-glucose 1,6-bisphosphate is a required cofactor of one of the enzymes in glycogenolysis.
Synonym: glucose-1-phosphate kinase.
(05 Mar 2000)
glycerol kinase <enzyme> An enzyme that catalyses the formation of glycerol 3-phosphate from ATP and glycerol. Dihydroxyacetone and l-glyceraldehyde can also act as acceptors; utp and, in the case of the yeast enzyme, itp and GTP can act as donors. It provides a way for glycerol derived from fats or glycerides to enter the glycolytic pathway.
Chemical name: ATP:glycerol 3-phosphotransferase
Registry number: EC 2.7.1.30
(12 Dec 1998)
CePAK kinase <enzyme> Isolated from caenorhabditis elegans; genbank u63744
Registry number: EC 2.7.1.-
Synonym: p21-activated kinase, c. Elegans
(26 Jun 1999)
megakaryocyte-associated tyrosine kinase <enzyme> Genbank l18974
Registry number: EC 2.7.1.-
Synonym: matk protein, csk homologous kinase, chk enzyme
(26 Jun 1999)
pelle-like protein kinase <enzyme> Mplk - mouse pelle-like kinase; mammalian homolog of drosophila pelle protein; expression is developmentally regulated and is greatest in liver; genbank l08476
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-
Synonym: mplk (protein)
(26 Jun 1999)
ceramide-activated protein kinase <enzyme> Mw 97 kD; stimulation of kinase takes place during sphingomyelin pathway; has membrane-bound activity capable of phosphorylating a peptide derived from the sequence surrounding thr(699) of the epidermal growth factor receptor; has role in signal transduction for tumour necrosis factor
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-
Synonym: cap kinase
(26 Jun 1999)
Vps15 protein kinase <enzyme> Functions with vps34p as a membrane-associated complex which facilitates the delivery of proteins into the vacuole in yeast; amino acid sequence has been determined
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-
Synonym: vps15 gene product, vps15p
(26 Jun 1999)
ceramide kinase <enzyme> Catalyses the conversion of ceramide to ceramide 1-phosphate; calcium dependent
Registry number: EC 2.7.1.138
(26 Jun 1999)
MEK kinase <enzyme> Activates mek1 protein (map-erk kinase); structurally unrelated to raf
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-
Synonym: mekk protein
(26 Jun 1999)
Rho-associated kinase <enzyme> Binds the g-protein rho; rock-i and rock-ii are two isoforms; genbank u36909
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-

riboflavin kinase A cytosolic enzyme catalyzing the formation of flavin mononucleotide (r. Phosphate) from riboflavin, utilizing ATP as phosphorylating agent.
Synonym: flavokinase.
(05 Mar 2000)
ribosomal protein s6 kinase <enzyme> A protein serine/threonine kinase which is involved in cell transformation by polyoma virus and is connected to the expression of igf2. The immunosuppressant rapamycin inhibits the activation of the kinase, leading to reduced translation of certain mRNAs and a decrease in protein synthesis.
Registry number: EC 2.7.10.-
