| lymphomatoid p. |
a usually benign, self-healing, recurrent eruption of hemorrhagic papules, similar to acute lichenoid pityriasis (of which it may be a variant); lesions occur asynchronously primarily on the trunk and extremities and, after healing, either leave macular scars or form crusted scales or a central necrotic mass. Histologic features may suggest malignancy and include clusters of large mononuclear cells with dark-staining nuclei and large pale-staining histoid cells.
