Hair loss. Dogs and cats do not typically lose their hair during chemotherapy the way that people do, and more typically just lose their hair in localized patches due to radiation therapy when that modality is used. Cats often will lose their whiskers while undergoing chemotherapy, but only rarely will they lose body hair.
