Agarose gel electrophoresis is a method used in molecular biology to separate DNA strands by size, and to determine the size of the separated strands by comparison to strands of known length. AGA was a German automobile company, once quite large, which manufactured its wares from 1919 to 1929, and which by 1922 was manufacturing 1000 cars a month. At the time, AGA was part of the Stinnes group of companies, making a 1420cc four-cylinder car which was sometimes used as a taxi.
