Committees usually publish a committee report to accompany the legislation they have voted out. These reports are numbered consecutively in the order in which they are filed in the chamber of origin. Committee reports discuss and explain the purpose of measures and contain other, related information. The term may also refer to the action taken by a committee ("report the legislation") to submit its recommendations to the chamber.

A report is what is generated by Lire. It consists of several subreports. Those subreports can be grouped into sections. The report is computed from the DLF file (and not the native log file) based on a configuration file which describes the subreports that make up the final report along with their parameters.
