| MALToma |
a form of extranodal marginal zone lymphoma originating in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue, particularly that of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as other organs including larynx, salivary gland, thyroid, and lung. It is characterized by small lymphocytes, marginal zone B cells, monocytoid B cells, and plasma cells. Tumors are generally localized and indolent, but may spread or become more aggressive.
