Mostly magnesium silicate, it is a substance that occurs naturally and is used in baby powders, makeup, creams, etc. Unfortunately, most talc occurs in conjunction with arsenic. Talc is a lung irritant. Use other powders such as Cornstarch or baking soda as your absorbant powder and for your baby. Herbal powders are also very effective and can be made from equal quantities of powders of Orris root, Orange peel, Lemon peel and Sandalwood.
