Rich Text Format. A way of transferring data from one source to another which keeps some of the original formatting. Ie the tab settings, line breaks, bold and italic type styles can be transferred as well as the actual words.

This event occurs when a Terminate-Ack packet is received from the peer. The Terminate-Ack packet is usually a response to a Terminate-Request packet. The Terminate-Ack packet may also indicate that the peer is in Closed or Stopped states, and serves to re-synchronize the link configuration.

"Rich Text Format" This is a file format standardized by Microsoft for creating formatted text files. Unlike a basic text file an RTF file can include information such as text style, size, and color. The nice thing about the RTF format is that it is a universal format meaning it can be read by nearly all word processors.
