CML A disorder where the multiplication of bone marrow cells is excessive. Maturation of the cells proceeds fairly normally.

cm A unit of measure of recombination frequency. One centimorgan is equal to a 1% chance that a marker at one genetic locus will be separated from a marker at a second locus due to crossing over in a single generation. In human beings, 1 centimorgan is equivalent, on average, to 1 million base pairs.

CMV A very common virus that harmlessly infects many normal people. It causes lots of trouble in transplant patients because the drugs that prevent rejection of the liver allow this virus to be active. Virus activity can effect the liver, blood and eyes. It can be treated if necessary with a drug called ganciclovir.
