CAD Conditions that cause narrowing of the coronary arteries, reducing blood flow to the heart muscle. A type of atherosclerosis.

CAD A condition in which the arteries become narrowed or blocked. Narrowing can cause insufficient blood supply with resulting lack of oxygen to the heart tissue, which can manifest itself as angina. If blood vessels become blocked, there is no blood supply so muscle cells die through lack of oxygen and this is an AMI.
