Gamma rays are very high energy electromagnetic radiation, like light or X-rays, but much higher in energy and frequency (and shorter in wavelength). GAMMA RAY BURST Gamma ray bursts are mysterious and powerful astronomical phenomenon that emit short-lived flashes of gamma rays (extremely high-energy radiation). These bursts last only up to a few seconds, occur every day, and come from different parts of the sky.
