| Colorado tick fever | <infectious disease> A rare acute viral infection transmitted via a tick bite (Dermacentor andersoni). Disease is limited to the western United States, particularly Colorado. The incubation period is 3-6 days. Symptoms include fever (that may abate and then recur), sweats, chills, joint pains, headache, photophobia, nausea, vomiting, rash and weakness.
