The purging is achieved by a variety of agents including pharmacologic agents, biophysical agents (laser photoirradiation or radioisotopes) and immunologic agents. | bone marrow suppression | <oncology, pharmacology> A side effect of many anticancer and antiviral drugs, including AZT.
