amorphous (1) Without definite form or shape; not crystallized. (2) An early type of LCD panel technology before polysilicon. Analog A continuously varying action, or movement that takes time to change from one position to another. Standard audio and video signals are analog. An analog signal has an infinite number of levels between its highest and lowest value. (Not like digital, where changes are by steps.)

amorphous Shapeless. Not consisting of crystals. Non crystalline. Glass is amorphous. Sugar is crystalline.

amorphous It is a non-crystalline silicon. In amorphous TFTs, the electron mobility is low. This means the transistor must be large, making it difficult to pack pixels densely in a panel. Thus, amorphous TFTs are most suitable for relatively large LCD panels and single panel projector.
