A flywheel based system used only for cyclic storage and discharge of energy. For space applications, this implies the use of at least two flywheels in a counter-rotating configuration so that the torque and momentum vectors of one flywheel can cancel those generated by the other. The net torque and momentum generated by the pair is controlled so as to be effectively zero.

This window treatment style is similar to a valance. Rather than hanging straight down from a horizontal rod, however, it is draped from one corner to the opposite. It is not intended to be used on its own, but can be quite dramatic when used with jabots or panels in matching colors. This combination gives the appearance of a single piece of fabric which has been artfully arranged on a curtain rod.
