Used when cysts are marsupalized. That is, the cyst is opened along the long side and laid out flat. An agent such as an antibiotic is injected inside the open cyst. This is much like picturing the cyst as an egg; and taking the egg, slicing it along the long way; then tossing the inside bit of the egg so you are left with a hollow shell cavity. The agent prevents the cyst from re-filling with fluid by stripping out the epithelial layer of the cyst. ...
