salvage A title designation used when an insurance company purchases a vehicle that has been severely damaged (ie, totaled) and then resells the vehicle. Each state has different regulations on the sale of salvaged vehicles. WFS Financial does not finance vehicles with salvaged or branded titles. Vehicles returned to the manufacturer under the Lemon Law, or other similar state laws, will have a branded title.
