Northern pikeminnow (Ptychocheilus oregonensis). The major piscivorous predators on juvenile salmonids are northern pikeminnow formerly known as northern squawfish, smallmouth bass (Micropterus dolomieu), and walleye (Stizostedion vitreum). In CRiSP.1, smallmouth bass and walleye are converted to pikeminnow equivalents based on their consumption rates relative to pikeminnow consumption rates.
