| sinuvertebral nerves | A branch from the initial (mixed) part of each spinal nerve passing in a recurrent fashion back through the intervertebral foramen to supply spinal meninges, the posterior longitudinal ligament, posterolateral periphery of the intervertebral disc, and periosteum of the vertebrae. | splanchnic nerves | The major nerves supplying sympathetic innervation to the abdomen. The greater, lesser, and lowest (or smallest) splanchnic nerves are formed by preganglionic fibres from the spinal cord which pass through the paravertebral ganglia and then to the coeliac ganglia and plexuses.
