Values are matched against patterns to see if they should be included/excluded. In patterns "*" matches any string, "?" matches any single character. Lowercase letters will match either uppercase or lowercase letters. Uppercase letters will only match uppercase letters. Backslash (\) can be used to quote a character, forcing an exact match. If you want to match a "*" "?" or "\" you have to backslash it. Likewise you can backslash a lowercase letter to match only lowercase.

or Geometric Pattern: One of a series of recognized patterns that is formed by joining the price points on a chart. In essence, a geometric pattern gives rise to the presumption that at least one half of a trend has occurred, allowing the trader to take advantage of the other half of the market move and giving hope that the trend will continue further by reason of a chain of patterns.
