a class of functionally identical or highly similar actions ,where the action "operates" on the environment . The amplitude, geometric form, spatial trajectory, and topography, of the actions in the class can vary, but the function of the actions must remain the same in order to qualify as members of the same operant class. In operating on the environment, either the environment gets changed in some way, or the person's position, location within, or relationship to the environment changes.
