A condition from inflammation of the arachnoid pia. The arachnoid is a thin film like covering of the brain and spinal cord. Arachnoiditis often occurs after multiple surgeries, particularly in the spine. In some patients this condition can become painful. It may be managed by anti-inflammatory medications or occasionally by electrical stimulation.
