| 설명 | 지능은 정상이지만 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기, 추리 또는 계산능력에 심각한 문제가 나타나는 여러 장애들을 일컫는 용어. 이로 인해 학업성적 및 자신감 저하, 대인관계에서도 사교 능력이 미숙하여 일상생활의 모든 면에서 문제가 나타난다. 성인기 사회적응력에도 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 행동장애, 주의력결핍, 과잉운동장애, 우울장애 등과 동반되어 나타날 수 있다. 그 유병률은 낮게는 1.7%, 높게는 30% 정도로 추정하고 있지만 학동기 아동의 약 3~9%가 이 장애를 갖고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 기초학습기능검사를 통하여 진단한다. 학습의 기회나 교육적인 자극이 부족한 경우, 집중력 부족, 우울증-불안 등 정서적 문제, 신경학적 이상에 의한 경우 등이 원인일 수 있다. 학습과 관련이 있는 뇌기능과 연관된 특정영역에 결함이 있거나 발육지연 또는 장애가 있는 경우도 원인이 된다. 또한 부모가 조기에 자녀의 능력과 적성을 잘 알지 못하는 경우에도 많이 생긴다. |

| 설명 | 의식, 동작, 혹은 주체성 등의 인격의 정상적인 통합기능에 급격하고 일시적인 변화가 일어나서 하나, 또는 그 이상의 기능의 어느 부분이 상실되는 정신질환을 해리성 장애라고 한다. 이 질환에 속하는 대표적인 것으로는 심인성기억상실증(psychogenic amnesia), 다중인격(multiple personality), 둔주(fugue) 등이 있다. 심인성 기억상실증이란 정신적인 통합기능 중에서 특히 의식의 급격하고 일시적인 변화가 일어나서 뇌의 장애없이 과거의 일을 기억하지 못하는 것을 말한다. 다중인격이란 한 가지 이상의 인격이 사람에게 존재하는 것으로 특정한 인격은 일정 기간동안 그 사람을 지배하고 그 인격 각각은 그 나름의 체계를 가지고 인간관계를 형성하는 것이 대부분이다. 둔주란 자신의 주체에 대한 기억을 상실하고 새로운 주체성을 가지고 가정이나 직장을 떠나서 예정에 없던 여행을 갑작스럽게 하는 것으로 대개 통상적인 상황에서는 거의 일어나지 않고 전시, 천재지변에서 자주 있고 둔주에서의 회복은 급작스럽게 일어나고 재발은 거의 없다. 해리성 장애의 대부분은 회복이 될 경우에는 발병기간 중에 있었던 일을 기억해 내지 못하는 것이 대부분이다. |

| 설명 | 정신장애를 가리키는데 사용되는 용어로서, 특히 지적, 감정적, 행동적 정신장애이며, 기질적 장애가 있어서 생기는 것은 아니다. 지속적으로 타인의 권리를 침범하거나 나이에 걸맞지 않게 사회적 규범을 어기는 행동이 나타나는 장애로서, 도시에서 더 많이 나타나는 경향이 있다. 정신분석학적인 견해에 의하면 도덕적 초자아가 성장하지 못하여 나타나거나 부모의 무의식적이고 반사회적 충동이 어린이에게 전달되어 행동화하는 것이라고 한다. 가정환경적 원인으로는 결손가정, 부모의 갈등, 알코올 중독, 약물남용, 반사회적 행동 등을 동반한 아버지의 정신병리, 일관성 없는 훈육, 아동학대, 어머니의 우울증 등을 들 수 있다. 생물학적 요인으로는 유전적으로 특정 유전질병을 앓는 환자의 경우에 폭력성이 두드러지게 나타나는 것으로 보고되어 있고, 뇌손상과 뇌파 이상, 경미한 신경학적 이상, 호르몬 불균형 등도 그 원인이 되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이 장애는 대부분 학습장애, 주의력 결핍, 과잉운동장애, 우울장애, 불안장애, 약물남용 등과 함께 나타난다. 미국의 통계에 의하면 18세 이하의 남성 6~16%, 여성 2~9%가 이 장애를 가지고 있는 것으로 보고되어 있다. 한국의 경우 초등학교 4~6학년 어린이 중 남아 5%, 여아 2.3%가 이 장애를 가지고 있는 것으로 보고되었다. |

| 설명 | 지나치게 연극적이고 반응적이며 행동의 지나친 표현 및 특유한 대인관계의 장애를 주로 하는 정신병. 히스테리인격장애는 외부에 대한 반응이 지나치게 빠르고 자기를 과시하고 대인관계에서 피상적이고 불성실해서 대인관계에 장애가 있는 이상성격으로서 성심리가 미숙한 것이 특징이다. 언제나 자신을 멋지게 드러내 보이려 하고 다른 사람의 관심을 끌기 위해 과장된 표현을 한다. 아는 사람을 만나면 지나칠 정도로 반가워하고 마치 공주나 왕자같은 행세를 하는 수가 있다. 작은 자극에도 쉽게 흥분하고 화를 잘 내나 작은 기쁨에 지나치게 반응하는 변덕스러운 성격의 소유자이다. 논리적인 것보다는 감정적으로 일을 처리하고 대인관계에서 상대방의 의사를 자기 환상에 따라 멋대로 해석한다. 불만스러운 일이 있으면 자살한다고 위협하거나 자살의 연극을 꾸며서 상대방을 조정한다. 표면적으로는 감정이 풍부하고 매력적이고 사귀기 쉽지만 대인관계에서 지속성이 없고 쉽게 사귀었다가 쉽게 헤어지고 교제하는 사람은 많으나 상대가 자주 바뀐다. 한번 사귀게 되면 상대방의 의사는 아랑곳하지 않고 자기 요구만 들어주기를 바라는 이기적인 사람이고 그것이 충족되지 못하면 곧 실망하고 그 사람을 원망한다. 성적 적응력도 희박하여 성적으로 매력이 있어 보이고 애교가 있고 성적 분위기를 물씬 풍기지만 불감증인 경우가 많다. 이성관계를 낭만적인 환상으로 끌고 가려고 한다. |

| depersonalization disorder | <psychiatry> A mental disorder or heterogeneous group of disorders (the schizophrenias or schizophrenic disorders) comprising most major psychotic disorders and characterised by disturbances in form and content of thought (loosening of associations, delusions and hallucinations) mood (blunted, flattened or inappropriate affect), sense of self and relationship to the external world (loss of ego boundaries, dereistic thinking and autistic withdrawal) and behaviour (bizarre, apparently purposeless and stereotyped activity or inactivity). The definition and clinical application of the concept of the concept of schizophrenia have varied greatly. The DSM III R criteria emphasise marked disorder of thought (delusions, hallucinations or other thought disorder accompanied by disordered affect or behaviour), deterioration from a previous level of functioning and chronicity (duration of more than 6 months), thus excluding from this classification conditions referred to by others as acute, borderline, simple or latent schizophrenia. Originally called dementia praecox and characterised as a psychosis with adolescent onset and a chronic course ending in deterioration. | dysthymic disorder | Chronically depressed mood that occurs for most of the day more days than not for at least 2 years. The required minimum duration in children to make this diagnosis is 1 year.
