| Health Maintenance Organization |
(as defined in section 2791(b)(3) of the PHS Act, 42 USC 300gg-91(b)(3) and used in the definition of health plan in this section) means a federally qualified HMO, an organization recognized as an HMO under State law, or a similar organization regulated for solvency under State law in the same manner and to the same extent as such an HMO.
