(Desmopressin acetate, known as Stimate,) a synthetic man made drug used to stop bleeding in people with moderate or mild Haemophilia A. DDAVP is derived from a hormone and is free from viruses such as Hepatitis and HIV. It is not a clotting factor but does stimulate a release of Factor VIII from storage, to temporarily increase its activity level in the body.
