a common benign, noninvasive tumor composed of basaloid cells, usually occurring in middle life, sometimes rapidly in crops, commonly presenting as soft, friable plaques that show slight to marked pigmentation and are most often located on the face, trunk, and extremities. Called also seborrheic wart and verruca seborrheica. See also Leser-Trélat sign, under sign.
