| lymphoma, T-cell, peripheral | A group of malignant lymphomas thought to derive from peripheral T-lymphocytes in lymph nodes and other nonlymphoid sites. They include a broad spectrum of lymphocyte morphology, but in all instances express T-cell markers admixed with epithelioid histiocytes, plasma cells, and eosinophils. | polymorphic superficial keratitis | Epithelial degeneration occurring in starvation. (05 Mar 2000) |
| herpes simplex keratitis | <ophthalmology, pathology> A serious viral infection of the cornea that can result in a nonpenetrating erosion (corneal ulcer) of the cornea. The causative agent is Herpes zoster. Recurrences may be triggered by stress, exposure to sunlight, use of immunosuppressive medications or another illness. Treatment includes antiviral eyedrops.
