| Holter monitor |
With this test, a small battery-powered monitor is connected to electrodes on the chest. The monitor records all of the heart's activity in a 24- to 48-hour period. This test provides information about the regularity of heartbeats, how long the heartbeats last, and is generally used to determine the cause of palpitations.
