| commensalism |
A mutualistic relationship where one individual benefits while the other is neither harmed nor benefited. For example, the dung beetle relies on the scat of the gopher tortoise which it crafts into a ball and rolls to a location where it can be eaten later. The gopher tortoise is neither harmed nor benefited by the beetle.
